Koorainadu Sarees
Koorainadu sarees, as the name suggests, come from the region of Koorainadu, located in the town of Mayiladuthurai. Made for the discerning eye that sees elegance in subtlety, the distinctive element of these sarees is a pattern of minuscule checks. An original, handwoven Koorainadu is rare, given the painstaking effort, skill and time required to achieve its intricate design. Interestingly, the Koorai Pudavai worn by a Tamil bride finds its origins in this weave. This collection of Koorainadu sarees has been woven in silk cotton.
